General information

The Football API serves live and statistical data that is at the core of the Fans United services. It provides data for countries, competitions, teams, players and matches.

Authentication

Access to the API is granted by a valid key, which is provided by the Fans United team and appended to each request via the ?key=Example123Key attribute.

Quotas and Caching

Each request that hits our servers is counted to your quota, based on the key you use. For instance, if you make 5 requests to fetch the same player profile in a few minutes, we will only count the first request, since the others will be returned by the CDN directly. So pay attention to the caching times.

Common attributes

General filters for all endpoints: lang – Determines what language to return the data in (English by default). Available options include “BG“, “RO“ and “EN“. If a translation is not available in the requested language, the API will fallback to English.
