What are interests? How do they work?

The user can specify what they are interested in. They can also mark those interests as favourites.

For example, a user can follow Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, and have as favourites only Manchester United.

Currently supported interest:

  • Football teams/players/competitions
  • Sports (Football, Cricket, Field Hockey, Tennis, Volleyball, Table tennis, Basketball, Baseball, Rugby, Golf, Athletics, Formula 1, Boxing, Ice hockey, American football, MMA, MotoGP, Badminton, Cycling, Snooker, Gymnastics, Handball, Wrestling, Horse racing, Weight lifting, Chess, Squash, Biathlon, Winter sports, Martial arts, Water sports, Shooting, Rally, Rhythmic gymnastics)

Can I customize content based on users interests?

Yes, you can. However, this is done entirely on client-side. You can easily get all the interests or engagement data for a particular user, but then it’s up to you to build a functionality that serves the content.
